Description
This book concerns the image of the city at the terminal stations of various underground mass-transit systems in Europe and the Far East. With the objective of documenting and understanding what constitutes the margin of the urban phenomenon in an age of globalization and urbanization, the publication collects and complements a series of materials from a photographic project that has been developed over a number of years. Offering the possibility for comparative perspectives and theoretical insights at the intersection of photography and the city, the book finally hopes to contribute from a global perspective to the awareness of the complex relations between the city, urban space, and urban design.
