Description
Water often defined the structure of cities and their architecture. Over time, however, techniques and progress have introduced new systems to control, conserve and use water. Unfortunately, these techniques have made us move away from the original character of the urban forms. So, we have violated some basic behavioral patterns and lost spaces that find their raison d’etre in water. The book intends to oppose this loss by collecting a series of researches and projects dedicated to water within complex urban contexts, developed starting from 2008 within the Master in Urban Vision and Architectural Design, Domus Academy, Milan.
