The book is a collection of thoughts, researches, and projects on the public space today. In particular, the publication addresses the “piazza” and its evolution, from a place of human gatherings to a place of organized collective activities. From this perspective, indeed, one can read not only the diffusion of new urban models, but also the changes in the aesthetic experience of public space, their socio-urban implications, and the varying relationship between the horizontal and vertical surfaces of the city.
