NO-WASTE is the monography, number 27-28, by Piano Progetto Città, was created in 1984 by the Pescara Faculty of Architecture as an instrument for dialogue between Architecture and Urban Planning. The magazine has over the course of the years, developed a notion of design as a transversal and inter-scalar dynamic. During this period, PPC has confronted issues raised by international debate (urban design, the landscape, infrastructures, environmental compatibility, the role of context in the process of design, the interweaving between the local and global, etc.). Today, Piano Progetto Città intends to renew it’s scientific efforts, assuming the criteria of evaluation and accreditation identified by the MIUR (scientific committee, referees, internationalisation, the selection of contributors). LISt Lab is the publisher with which to develop an activity of cultural promotion and the scientific evaluation of the products of different research, to further qualify this project, PPC is also proposing the involvement of other Departments, with the aim of constructing a network of relationships held to be indispensable to the intensification of scientific debate and discussion.
Piano Progetto Città boasts a tradition of confirming and developing: it is a space of confrontation between architecture, urbanism and planning.
