Description
The book collects the outcomes of the joint architectural and urban design studio organized by the UNSW – University of New South Wales and the IUAV – Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia. Within the studio, a critical discourse on contemporary problems of the built environment was developed, grounded in the culture of Venice. In particular, the currently un-renovated “Gas Area” in the neighborhood of Santa Marta was addressed in light of its potential as a new gateway for the city.
