This book collects the outcomes of the research and projects elaborated for the city of Zhongshan in China by the University of Pescara, Ascoli Piceno, Ferrara, Venezia, and Trieste, Italy. These are part of the System Italy international cooperation programme with the Chinese authorities on aspects of urban quality, i.e., a special project promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Economic Development, the Conference of Deans of the Italian Architecture Faculties, and the Association of Urban Planning of Guangdong province, China.
