This issue of ALPS deals with what differentiates normal and intelligent living. A smart home is the result of an excellent relationship with the context, with local resources, with the landscape, with materials and tradition, but at the same time with the best technological solutions, with the environment and its problems. There are no certain formulas and exact rules. Instead, there is common sense and design sensitivity, continuous research and the quality of design, the desire to re-establish a more careful balance with what surrounds us.
