Description
The book presents 20 different readings for two cities and their respective twentieth-century extensions, namely the Eixample in the case of Barcelona and the Foce in the case of Genoa. These are rational urban fabrics, born out of industrial development at the end of the nineteenth century, but today they open up to new interpretations. The research behind the publication takes as the starting point the reformulation of concepts such as mobility and connectivity in the city, new public space, and the integration of landscape into the urban fabric.
