Patrizia Ranzo

Patrizia Ranzo, architect and designer, is full professor of Industrial Design at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”. She is president of the Council of Courses of Studies in Design for Innovation, of the same University. She has been coordinator of the Doctorate in Industrial, Environmental and Urban Design and President of the aggregate courses of Industrial Design at the Faculty of Architecture. She is a member of the board of PhD in Environment, Design, Innovation. She is a member of the international research center CIAUD-centro de Investigacao em Arquitectura, Urbanismo e Design/Universidade de Lisboa. She has been a member of the board of directors of SocietàItaliana di Design – SID. She has been an honorary member of the Technical Scientific Committee of the Regional Women’s Textile Pole of the Campania Region; to date she chairs the Fashion Industry Table of the Campania Region. She is coordinator for the Creativity, Design and Made in Italy area. She is the author of several European patents resulting from research projects funded by competitive calls. As a designer, she obtained several awards in Italy and abroad. She has promoted and coordinated several research projects in the field of fashion and design from the point of view of creative factories, interacting with companies, institutions, international research centers. She is the author of numerous volumes, articles, international and national essays on design, fashion design and automotive design in relation to the contemporary industrial landscape.
