UNIVERSITY OF GENOA – Since July 2017, Prof. Arch. Manuel Gausa Navarro is Full Professor in Urban Planning ICAR 21, at the Department of Architecture and Design (DAD), University of Genoa (UNIGE). From 2014 to 2017, Full Professor in Landscape Architecture / Architectural Design ICAR 15, at the Department of Science for Architecture (DSA), University of Genoa (UNIGE). From 2007 to 2014, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Architecture of Genoa. Since 2009 he has been Director of GIC-Lab (Genova Intelligent Contexts Laboratory), an urban and territorial research laboratory ascribed to the DSA-UNIGE. He founded with Mosè Ricci the research line LUAD (Urban Landscape and Advanced Design, DSA-UNIGE). From 2012-2015 he was Academic and Scientific Director (Dean) of the IAAC, Institut d’Arquitectura Avançada de Catalunya, where since September 2015 he is Lead Professor in Theory & Advanced Knowledge Studies, IAAC-TAK, Institut d’Arquitectura Avançada de Catalunya (IAAC) and Member of its Scientific Committee as Iaac-Founder. From 2011-2015 he is member of the Consell Consultiu de l’Hàbitat Urbà, Ajuntament de Barcelona (Advisory Council for the Urban Habitat and Landscape, Barcelona City Council). Since 2011 he has been a member of the Technical Scientific Committee of CRUIE, “Research Centre for Urbanism, Infrastructure and Ecology”, UNIGE. From 1991-2001 he was Editor-in-Chief of the magazine “Quaderns d’Arquitectura i Urbanisme” – official publication of the CO.A.C. In 2000 he was honoured with the Médaille de l’Académie d’Architecture de France.
